Tap the + button in the Library tab. Search by title or author, scan the book's ISBN barcode, or type the details manually. Once you've selected a book, tap Generate Learnings to create your insights.

After adding a book, the widget should update within a few seconds. If it doesn't, try removing and re-adding the widget. Make sure Distill has been opened at least once after adding the book — the widget reads from shared storage that is written when you generate learnings.
Long-press the Distill widget on your home screen and tap Edit Widget. You can set how often the learning rotates and toggle whether the book title and author are shown.
Yes — tap a book in your Library to open its detail view, then tap the trash icon in the top-right corner. The book and all its learnings are removed immediately.
The library, review, and widget all work offline once books have been added. Generating new learnings and fetching book cover art require an internet connection.
The most common causes are a lost internet connection or a temporary server issue. Make sure you have an active internet connection and try again. If the error persists, contact support with the book title and any error message shown.
Open the Settings app on your iPhone → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Find Distill in the list to change or cancel your plan. You retain access until the end of the current billing period.
